Watch: Broncos' Courtland Sutton and Montrell Washington collide, catch Russell Wilson pass simultaneously

If one play summed up the Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts matchup on "Thursday Night Football," it came midway through the third quarter.

With the score tied 6-6, roughly seven minutes into the second half, Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson took a shot deep, somehow connecting with two of his wide receivers.

For one reason or another, wide receivers Courtland Sutton and Montrell Washington ran routes with similar paths, meaning both were in the vicinity of Wilson's throw. With Sutton and Washington each looking for the ball, they collided briefly before grabbing the pass simultaneously.

The play was painfully appropriate for a Broncos offense that's struggled to find consistency throughout the season. Denver entered Thursday night's matchup with the fourth-lowest total offense in the AFC, averaging just 336 yards per game. The Broncos scored 66 points through the first four weeks of the season. Only the Chicago Bears (64) and Colts (57) posted less.
