Watch: Chiefs' Harrison Butker breaks Super Bowl record set earlier in game
San Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody held the record for the longest Super Bowl field goal for a little more than one quarter. After Moody set the Super Bowl record with a 55-yard kick in the second quarter, Kansas City's Harrison Butker established his own record late in the third quarter with a 57-yard field goal.

It was not the prettiest kick, and it was nearly blocked at the line, but he was able to get enough of it to just barely get it over the crossbar.
Butker is one of the NFL's best kickers, especially from long range. That kick is his ninth consecutive made kick on an attempt of 50 yards or more. That brought the Chiefs to within four points, cutting the deficit to 10-6. Later in the quarter the Chiefs capitalized by recovering a fumbled San Francisco punt and scored a touchdown one play later to take their first lead of the game.
