Watch: Chiefs K Harrison Butker boots franchise-record 62-yard FG against Bills

On Sunday, kicker Harrison Butker returned to action for the Kansas City Chiefs and made an immediate impact.

Out since Week 1 after suffering an ankle injury, Butker announced his return by booting a franchise-record 62-yard field goal during Sunday's matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Butker takes the record away from Matt Wright, who held it for less than a week. Wright, one of two kickers to fill in during Butker's absence, nailed a 59-yard field goal in the Chiefs' Week 5 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, breaking the previous record of 58 yards.

Unfortunately for Butker, his milestone went to waste.

Early MVP-favorite Josh Allen orchestrated a late fourth-quarter drive capped by a touchdown pass to Dawson Knox to lift the Bills to a 24-20 victory.
