Watch: Jake Browning's clutch play continues with awkward QB sneak on 'Monday Night Football'

No, he's not Joe Burrow, but Jake Browning has proven to be not just a worthy backup, but a trusty starter in the wake of Burrow's season-ending wrist injury.

Browning has so far stepped up in a massive game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on "Monday Night Football." The Cincinnati Bengals came into the contest at 5-6 and riding a three-game losing streak. The Jaguars, on the other hand, came in at 8-3.

It seemed like a classic case of two teams going in opposite directions, but Browning executed a somewhat awkward (but effective) quarterback sneak to tie the game at 28 with 9:14 to go in the fourth. This was just two plays after Browning found Ja'Marr Chase for a clutch fourth-and-3 conversion at the Jacksonville 10-yard line.

The play looked odd because Browning apparently didn't have a full grasp of the football after the snap, but there's a case to be made that the pause gave his offensive line enough time to get some push against the Jaguars — which allowed the young quarterback to duck behind them and sneak in for a touchdown.

It was the first rushing touchdown of his career and his second touchdown of the night. Earlier in the game, he had hit Chase for a massive 76-yard touchdown.
