Watch: Miracle conversion lifts Cowboys past Eagles

A crucial third-and-30 conversion was the miracle Dallas needed, flipping the tides in a 40-34 Cowboys victory over the Eagles.

Dallas was down 34-27 when Dak Prescott heaved a desperation pass to T.Y. Hilton, who hauled the ball in for a 52-yard gain.

The clutch catch extended the drive, which the Cowboys scored a touchdown on, keeping their hopes alive.

Afterwards, Dallas seized momentum, forcing two of the Eagles' four turnovers on the game.

The Cowboys scored field goals on the ensuing possessions and halted Philadelphia's last-minute comeback attempt.

Hilton's catch was his only reception of the game, but it was a turning point.

If Philadelphia had one more possession, it could've chewed the clock and extended its lead to two touchdowns, putting the game out of reach.

Also, it saved the Cowboys' division title chances.

They desperately needed the victory against the Eagles because a loss would eliminate the possibility of winning the NFC East, which determines playoff seeding.

While Dallas (11-4) needs to win its final two games and Philadelphia (13-2) has to lose its last two for that to happen, it still has a glimmer of hope.

So Hilton's catch may be a memorable page in the Cowboys' story this season.

Perhaps it's an early holiday present for Hilton because it was the 33-year-old's first game since 2021.
