Watch: Rams RB Kyren Williams scores TD, flips football to mom in the stands

Second-year running back Kyren Williams has wowed Los Angeles Rams fans during his breakout season, but on "Thursday Night Football" against the New Orleans Saints, he was able to show out in front of his No. 1 supporter.

Williams rushed for a 10-yard score late in the third quarter while his mother watched from an end zone seat. To put an exclamation point on the moment, Williams spotted his mom in the crowd, tossing her the football as a souvenir.

The 23-year-old has emerged as the Rams lead back on an offense slowly coming into its own. A fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Williams was primarily a backup during his rookie year, rushing for only 139 yards on 35 attempts.

Following his score on Thursday, Williams has eight touchdowns during the 2023 campaign. Entering Week 16, he ranked fourth in the NFL in rushing yards (953) and first in yards per game (95.3).
