Even when he isn’t playing at his best, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady does the little things that win games. During Saturday’s pivotal game against the Buffalo Bills, that meant putting his body on the line with a lead block.

After handing it off to running back Rex Burkhead out of the shotgun, Brady started rolling out to his left with receiver N’Keal Harry following behind him on the reverse. After seeing Pro Bowl cornerback Tre’Davious White coming in to try and break up the run, Brady sprinted out and dove at White’s legs to take him out of the play.

Brady’s decision and hustle helped clear the lane for Harry’s 18-yard run to put New England’s offense inside Buffalo’s 40-yard line.

The future Hall of Fame quarterback hasn’t looked quite like himself this season. In fact, it started leading to speculation that the Patriots could draft his potential replacement with their first-round pick. Brady is quieting that talk on Saturday with a stellar performance through the air and even with his blocking.
