Watch: Will Levis may have exposed Titans' QB plan with comical facial expression

With starter Ryan Tannehill ruled out for the Tennessee Titans' Week 8 contest against the Atlanta Falcons, head coach Mike Vrabel stated recently that rookie Will Levis would start but also split reps with Malik Willis. However, with one humorous facial expression, Willis put that plan in doubt.

When asked about potentially sharing the quarterback spot Sunday with Willis, without saying a word, Levis couldn't help but hide the thoughts running through his brain. A stunned face quickly turned bewildered as Levi listened, perhaps hinting he'd be the only one getting snaps behind center.

Tannehill went down with an ankle injury in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens. Willis relieved him, finishing 4-of-5 for 74 yards while adding 17 rushing yards off three carries in a 24-16 loss. Selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Willis was lackluster at best in three starts as a rookie (1-2, 42.8 rating), prompting the Titans to pick Levis with a second-round pick last April.

At 2-4, the Titans are seemingly sellers ahead of the NFL trade deadline on Oct. 31. They've already begun moving pieces, having dealt two-time All-Pro safety Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 23.

Considering the Titans' state, it would make sense that they would want to see what they have in Levis, especially without the pressure to win. Where that would leave Willis is yet to be decided, but it'd be a surprise to see the Titans treat Sunday like a preseason game smack dab in the middle of the regular season.
