Watch: Young fan wants no part of Eagles star WR A.J. Brown

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has 273 catches in his NFL career, including 88 for Philadelphia last season, but he failed to come up with one on Sunday as one little Eagles fan ran circles around him.

As part of the NFL’s Salute to Service initiative, the Eagles held their annual Military Day this weekend and welcomed service members to the practice field. As part of the festivities, members of the military were able to watch practice from the sidelines and speak with players and coaches.

One player’s interaction with a fan didn’t go so well. While waiting to begin receiving drills, Brown tried to interact with a young fan nearby. Brown walked over to the child, but as he got closer, the little guy got scared and ran away, even as the popular receiver tried to pick him up.

After deeming the child “uncatchable,” a defeated Brown returned to his drills but not before giving the fan a military salute. After all, the young man was from a military family and seemed to fully grasp the “evasive maneuvers” concept.

Maybe Brown will have better luck on Aug. 6, when the Eagles host their first public practice at Lincoln Financial Field. Fans won’t necessarily be permitted on the field, but if Brown wants to bring someone down, we’re sure the team will let him.

Of course, Brown will have to catch him first.
