What is wrong with the Bengals offense?

The Bengals fell to 0-2 for the second year in a row after their 27-24 loss to the Ravens in Week 2. Although the score looks like it was a close game, Cincinnati didn't get its first offensive touchdown of the season until late in the third quarter.

So, what is wrong with the Bengals offense?

After becoming the highest-paid player in NFL history, Burrow has yet to look the part. In Week 1, the 26-year-old had a career-low 82 yards passing and a career-worst 52.2 passer rating. He looked better in Week 2, completing 27-of-41 for 222 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, but still left more to be desired.

To make matters worse, Burrow also reportedly reaggravated his calf injury, which he suffered at the beginning of training camp.

"[Burrow] tweaked his calf. He was essentially noncommittal after the game, saying, 'We'll give it a couple of nights,'" NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport said. "Calf injuries can linger, and it seems like the calf injury that he suffered early on in training camp, that we all thought was fine, may not be fine, may be affecting Joe Burrow."

If Burrow misses any time, Cincinnati is certainly in trouble, especially because he isn't the only problem.

Star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase has yet to make a difference as well. The two-time Pro Bowler has just 10 catches for 70 yards and zero touchdowns after two weeks. Whether it's the play-calling or Chase just isn't getting open, the Bengals must figure it out fast.

The one bright spot on Cincinnati's offense has been the run game. Joe Mixon has 115 rushing yards over the last two weeks, averaging 4.4 yards per carry.

If the Bengals can lean on Mixon until they figure out their passing woes, the team may just be able to land its first win of the year when it hosts the Rams in Week 3.
