What makes Bengals QB Joe Burrow so special?
Bengals QB Joe Burrow has been a proven winner. But what makes him so good at it?
Cincinnati's offensive coordinator Brian Callahan believes Burrow is special. "He sees things happening. He’s got incredible vision and understanding of what defenses are trying to do, where they’re located on the field," Callahan said on Peter Schrager’s "The Season" podcast.
Burrow has an all-time record of 23-18-1 as a starter (regular-season and playoffs). Some may think he would have more wins under his belt, but he seems to always win the games that matter the most.
"He’s just got a great feel for the game, and what he can do to win a game has been his most impressive trait so far," Callahan added. "The big moments, he never shies away from them."
Callahan has worked with Burrow for almost three seasons now, but he's not the only one who sees his intangibles.
"I think Joe Burrow is to winning what Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, and Justin Herbert are what you can see tangibly," Fox Sports analyst Emmanuel Acho said on "Speak For Yourself." "For whatever reason, Joe Burrow shows up and the 2-14 Bengals are in the Super Bowl two years later."
Burrow has caught the eyes of many as he makes his case for his first potential league MVP. But more importantly, he's looking to get back to the Super Bowl where he lost by just three points a season ago.
