The Philadelphia Eagles are wishing they were on the field this weekend instead of the couch, which is where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sent them after a 32-9 loss on Monday night in the Wild Card Round.

The loss could mark the end of Brian Johnson's tenure as offensive coordinator after the unit struggled down the stretch and won just one game out of the last seven.

That has left questions as to whether Johnson will return in the same role ... but if he doesn't, there's a case to be made that former offensive coordinator Frank Reich could return to the Eagles.

"It wouldn't shock me if head coach Nick Sirianni were to reclaim play-calling duties in order to right the ship, and there are so many cooks in Philly's offensive kitchen (see: Kevin Patullo and Marcus Brady) that the team is unlikely to lure a big name that desires more control over the offense," Bleacher Report writes. "But Reich could be an exception because of his history with both the Eagles and Sirianni. Wouldn't you love to see him working with Hurts?"

Reich, 62, was the offensive coordinator in 2016 and 2017 and led the unit to a Super Bowl win against the New England Patriots with Carson Wentz and Nick Foles under center. His success with the Eagles led to two head coaching jobs ... one with the Indianapolis Colts from 2018-22 and another with the Carolina Panthers in 2023. However, Reich was fired by the Panthers after a rough 1-10 start.

Reich is in need of a fresh start, and perhaps a return to the place he's had the most success as a coach is exactly what the doctor should order.
