Rob Gronkowski has yet to commit to playing in the NFL next season, but many are wondering if Tom Brady’s return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will make Gronk’s decision easier. The Bucs are hoping so.

Brady stunned the sports world on Sunday when he changed his mind about retiring. Now that Brady is committed to playing, Jeff Howe of The Athletic says the Bucs are trying to re-sign Gronkowski.

Gronkowski said after the season that he would need some time to decide if he wants to play in 2022. He has since been linked to some teams other than the Bucs. Gronk has praised one AFC quarterback in particular, leading many to believe he had a preferred destination in mind.

Obviously, Gronkowski’s plans could be linked to Brady’s. The two have won four Super Bowls together and are close friends. Gronk has battled injuries throughout his career and had another painful one last season, but he still managed 55 catches for 802 yards and six touchdowns. It would be a surprise if he plays somewhere other than Tampa.
