Odell Beckham Jr. may not have been doing drugs when a recent video was taken that has gotten him into some hot water, but any talk of the video being old is apparently untrue.

Laura Cuenca, an aspiring French model, told Ari Gilberg of the New York Daily News over the weekend that she is the woman who was beside Beckham in a video that went viral on Friday. She said in an Instagram exchange that Beckham did not do drugs, though she would not specify if drugs were present.

“No. He did not take any drugs!” Cuenca wrote.

Beckham was seen in the video holding what looks like a cigar or cigarillo in his hand, but Cuenca told the News that it was “a piece of pizza.” She did not comment on the white powder that she appeared to be chopping up on the bed next to Beckham.

Cuenca said she met Beckham at a nightclub in Paris and recorded the Snapchat video early Thursday morning. She sent a timestamp of the video to the News to prove it is recent, and she also claimed to have no idea OBJ was an NFL player until he asked her to remove the video.

Beckham sent a cryptic tweet around the time the video went viral, and he appeared to be indicating it was old. He recently posted several photos on Instagram from a trip he took to France, so between that and what Cuenca said about the video it’s probably safe to assume it was recent. The Giants have said they are looking into it, and Cuenca confirmed she was contacted by the team.
