The Chicago Blackhawks announced a series of moves on Sunday. Kyle Davidson continued to trim down the training camp roster by assigning four players to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL.

Goalie Mitchell Weeks came to training camp on a professional tryout agreement. The Blackhawks released him from his PTO and assigned him to Rockford. Weeks suited up in the Blackhawks' second preseason game but did not see any action behind Arvid Soderblom.

Additionally, Chicago assigned four prospects to the IceHogs. Forwards Antti Saarela, Marcel Marcel, and Michal Teply and defenseman Nolan Allan were among that group.

Allan is the most notable cut. While he was always expected to spend most of this season in Rockford, the former first-round draft pick made a big impression on head coach Luke Richardson during training camp. Allan displayed his physicality in the Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase and held his own in the Blackhawks' first two preseason games.

After Sunday's wave of cuts, the Blackhawks' training camp roster now stands at 41 players (26 forwards, 11 defensemen, and four goalies).
