The Buffalo Sabres recently placed goaltender Eric Comrie on waivers, with his demotion to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League (AHL), Frank Servalli and Tyler Yaremchuk discuss what it would take for Comrie to bounce back.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s talk about Eric Comrie being placed on waivers. In Buffalo, he’s the odd man out with UPL and Devon Levi and it was bound to happen eight that three-headed monster in Buffalo. But what do you think of this move and is there a path for Comrie to get back in the NHL somewhere?

Frank Seravalli: I think there is and I’m a little bit surprised by the way this year has turned out for him. You didn’t want him to play poorly but the Sabres were hanging onto him thinking that with all the turmoil with rosters at the start of the year they didn’t want to go down this path and that became an inevitability. This is a guy who certainly at 28 is not old you go back just a few years ago to his time with the Winnipeg Jets and how well he had played and I was thinking he could be a really solid 1B in the NHL but that’s not been the case and they haven’t been able to rely on him. Let’s see if the rehab works.
