During Saturday’s Stars game against the Montreal Canadiens, Evgenii Dadonov left the ice early with an undisclosed injury. Later, head coach Pete DeBoer classified it as a lower-body fracture, and he would be out indefinitely.

“[Dadonov] had an X-ray in Montreal, and it didn’t show anything,” Stars coach Pete DeBoer said Tuesday. “He came back home, and it wasn’t getting any better, so we had more detailed pictures taken so he’s out for a while here. There’s a fracture. They’re making decisions now on whether screws have to be put in, things like that, but it’s not good news.”

After returning from the trip and getting additional care, the timetable became clear. Dadonov will miss 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury.

Now Dallas will be looking for some reinforcements, and luckily for them, Logan Stankoven(54pts) and Mavrik Bourque(52pts) are the top two scorers in the AHL. Will either of these players be a call-up possibility and given the opportunity to shine at the NHL level?
