The Detroit Red Wings earlier signed Cam Talbot and the job wasn’t done there, they’ve added defenseman William Lagesson , Erik Gustafsson, and then goalie Jack Campbell. Lagesson is a one-year deal with a 775K AAV, Gustafsson is a two-year deal with a $2M AAV, and Campbell is a one-year deal with a 775K AAV. They also brought back forward Christian Fischer on a one year deal with a $1.125M AAV.
Defenseman – Wiliam Lagesson
Lagesson will turn 29 on February 22nd and will be entering his fifth season, he’s played in 100 games recording 11 points all on assists, he is a career plus two; he has 54 penalty minutes, and 135 hits. Last season he split time with the Anaheim Ducks and the Toronto Maple Leafs playing in 40 games recording four points and was a plus-three; he had 32 penalty minutes and 76 hits which were a career high.
Defenseman – Erik Gustafsson
Gustafsson will enter his ninth season and is on his eighth different team. He’s played in 455 games recording 222 points on 45 goals, and 177 assists; he is a career plus four, he has 426 hits, and has 64 points on the power play on six goals, and 58 assists. Last season he played with the New York Rangers recording 31 points on six goals and 25 assists, he had nine power-play points all on assists; he was a plus-three, had 35 penalty minutes, and 63 hits.
