Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Muzzin to miss at least three weeks with lower-body injury

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Muzzin will miss at least three weeks with a lower-body injury suffered during Game 6 of the club's first-round series against the Montreal Canadiens, head coach Sheldon Keefe said.

The 32-year-old was injured on a non-contact play in the second period of Toronto's 3-2 overtime loss to Montreal on Saturday. While skating through the neutral zone, Muzzin stopped mid-stride before heading to the bench in discomfort.

Muzzin notched four goals and 23 assists in 53 regular-season games, adding two goals and an assist in six playoff games against the Canadiens.

The 21-year-old Rasmus Sandin will fill in for Muzzin. He has appeared in four games against the Canadiens, notching one goal.
