NHL Thursday: Plus-money looks to consider

Hope you like some plus-money bets, because we've got four here for you to consider tonight in the NHL. It's a small slate, but some nice pockets of value are available to us.

Nikita Kucherov goal (+140 CZR)

Tampa appears to be in a nice spot this evening for shots and goals. At a high level, we've got a Lightning offense scoring nearly four goals per game at home, and Nashville is allowing 3.6 per game on the road.

The edge comes from the power play, as you may have gleaned is a very important factor for my night's bets. The Predators are handing out power-play chances, and their penalty kill isn't some force that can't be taken advantage of.

It's for that reason I like the value on a Nikita Kucherov goal. He's pacing Tampa Bay in power-play shots over the past 10 games and he's averaging 8.6 attempts per game over the same stretch.

It's elite volume, and at some point that's going to translate to more goals than we've seen thus far.

Kucherov has scored in four straight games against Nashville, here's to making it five in a row.

.5u: David Perron 4+ shots (+200 FD)

At home, no team is penalized more than Florida, handing out 4.45 power-play opportunities per game. It's David Perron who leads Detroit in power-play shots on the year and in the past 10 games, and I like moving up his line and taking a shot here at a +200 straight.

Perron has 4+ shots in four of his last five games and in two of his last three against Florida. Panthers games at home tend to be a shot fest on both ends, so think Detroit looks great for shots. Kubalik and Larkin solid options as well.

NSH-TBL over 5.5 & DET-FLA over 5.5 (+139 DK)

We've got two plays built around these two games. Let's chat more about Nashville and Tampa first.

I highlighted above why I like Tampa to be good for 3+ goals tonight, but now with Brian Elliott in net for the Lightning, Nashville suddenly looks enticing for some goals of their own. Elliott brings a 3.63 GAA to the table this evening and has allowed nine goals in his past two starts.

Then for Detroit and Florida, I'm seeing two offenses both averaging 3.7 goals per game in their location and allowing over three scores on average. The total has hit seven goals or more in three straight between these two, and I could see a few power-play goals spread throughout this one.

It appears there might be an outside chance we have a Alex Nedeljkovic vs. Sergei Bobrovsky battle in net, which would be music to over bettors' ears, as both goalies have struggled, to put it kindly. Even if it's Husso and Knight, I like the offenses to reign supreme.

.5u: NSH-TBL over 6.5 & DET-FLA over 6.5 (+290 DK)

I'm testing out a new play here, by keeping these two games combined, but moving them up to their standard over/unders and parlaying. Yes, I am feeling upset that I parlayed BUF-CBJ and ARI-EDM over 5.5s last night and watched as each game exceeded 10 goals.

Winnipeg moneyline (-125 DK)

Ok, so this isn't plus-money, sorry for drawing you in here with the allure of plus-money only just to pull the rug out from under you. Can you forgive me?

The Blues are trotting out Thomas Greiss, who has allowed 4+ goals in four of his last five starts, while it'll be Connor Hellebuyck in net for the Jets.

Winnipeg saw Greiss in October and won 4-0, and the Jets have won six of their last seven against St. Louis. I'll take them here at a reasonable price to win.
