Evan Bouchard, a 24-year-old right-handed defenseman, was born on October 20, 1999, in Oakville, Ontario. He stands at 6’3 and weighs 194 pounds. Growing up in Ontario, he played junior hockey for the Oakville Rangers (SCTA), Oakville Blades (OJHL), and London Knights (OHL). In the 2018-2019 season, he served as the Captain of the London Knights (OHL), scoring 74 points (20 goals, 54 assists) that season.

In the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Bouchard was selected 10th overall by the Edmonton Oilers. He later moved up to the Bakersfield Condors (AHL affiliate), tallying 36 points in 54 games during the 2019-2020 season. After a 23-game stint with Södertälje SK in the HockeyAllsvenskan League, he returned to Edmonton and has since been a key player. Over the last 5 years, Bouchard has achieved 41 goals, 130 assists, and a remarkable plus-minus rating of +43 in 265 games. Notably, he is known for his impact on the Oilers’ power play, showcasing his formidable “Bouch bomb” slap shot, one of the hardest in the NHL.
