Per the American Hockey League transactions page, the Nashville Predators have recalled Spencer Stastney from the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals for the second time this season.
In a corresponding roster move, the Predators announced that defenseman Dante Fabbro will be out 2-3 weeks with an upper-body injury. Fabbro suffered the injury in the first period and did not return to play in Nashville's OT loss to the Minnesota Wild on March 10.
Stastney was last recalled by Nashville on Nov. 14, when forward Tommy Novak landed on injured reserve with a hand injury. The 24-year-old defenseman made his season debut with Nashville on Nov. 18 against the Chicago Blackhawks and went on to appear in eight more games, scoring his first career NHL goal on Nov. 24 against the St. Louis Blues.
Selected by Nashville in the fifth round (131st overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft, Stastney has a career-high 20 points (five goals, 15 assists) in 44 games with the Central Division-leading Admirals this season. His +27 rating leads Milwaukee defensemen and is tied for the third-highest mark in the AHL.
Stastney has skated in 102 career AHL games with Milwaukee, tallying 33 points (10g-23a), 13 of which (5g-8a) came as a rookie for the Admirals in 2022-23. He added six points (1g-5a) in 16 Calder Cup Playoff appearances in 2023, helping the Admirals reach the AHL’s Western Conference Final. He also represented Milwaukee at the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic.
