The Ottawa Senators announced that they have signed forward Garrett Pilon and defenseman Jeremy Davies to contracts.

Pilon is signing a two-year, two-way contract with an average annual value (AAV) of $775,000. Pilon signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators last season after leaving the Washington Capitals where he captured a Calder Cup with the Capitals’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate the Hershey Bears.

Pilon spent the 2023-24 campaign with the Belleville Senators where he tallied 18 goals and 29 assists for 47 points in 62 games. He added five points in seven Calder Cup Playoff contests.

Davies signs a one-year, two-way contract with a $775,000 AAV. Davies spent the 2023-24 season with the Buffalo Sabres’ AHL affiliate the Rochester Americans where he collected 12 goals and 23 assists for 35 points in 66 games. He added two points in five Calder Cup Playoff contests.

The 27-year-old was initially drafted 192nd overall in the 2016 NHL Draft by the New Jersey Devils after registering 49 points in 60 games while playing with the Bloomington Thunder of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Davies’s 49 points were good enough to lead all defensemen in the USHL, he was named to the USHL First All-Star Team. Davies spent three seasons with Northeastern University of the NCAA where he was given back-to-back NCAA (EAST) First All-Star Team nods. During the 2019-19 season, he helped Northeastern capture the NCAA Hockey East Championship registering 36 points in 37 games.
