The Winnipeg Jets acquired forward Tyler Toffoli from the New Jersey Devils, according to TSN’s Darren Dreger.

Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli confirmed that the return for New Jersey is Winnipeg’s 2025 second-round pick and 2024 third-round pick.

This season with the Devils, the 31-year-old Toffoli has 26 goals and 18 assists for 44 points in 61 games. The winger is in the final year of a four-year, $17 million deal he signed with the Montreal Canadiens he signed ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Since then, he was traded to the Calgary Flames during the 2021-22 season, then eventually the Devils before this current campaign. Before signing with Montreal, Toffoli was drafted in the second round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings, spending parts of eight seasons with the club. He was dealt to the Vancouver Canucks for a playoff run in the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs, but was not re-signed by the team.

The Jets have now acquired both Toffoli and Sean Monahan, whom they acquired from the Canadiens on Feb. 2 for a 2024 first-round pick and a conditional third-round pick in 2027. The team is 39-17-5 with 83 points, second in the Central Division and only two points behind the Dallas Stars with three games in hand.
