North America has been embroiled in one of the hottest summers to date, with news media reporting "brutal heat" in nearly every region. It's always a tough time of year to be a snowboarder in the Northern Hemisphere, despite summer distractions like golf, High Cascade session recaps, and refreshing Instagram for updates on Thredbo and Perisher's parks.

But Burton has done us a drool-worthy solid and just released the first drop of their 2025 line.

Early September is the generally considered, by mainstream standards, the time that it is acceptable to think about winter, but as we all sit here in blazing heat and high humidity, clicking through the offerings on Burton.com is a psychological cool breeze as we plan our quivers for winter.

A few staff favorites include Danny Davis' Deep Thinker and Free Thinker; the perfect soft-but-charging women's freestyle board, the Burton Rewind; and of course, team favorites the Burton Blossom and the Burton Family Tree Hometown Hero (all of the Family Tree boards, actually).

You can check out all of the winter 2025 Burton new arrivals here.
