David Datro Fofana arrived at Chelsea in a chaotic January, and has felt almost like an afterthought ever since he arrived.

Too old to be an academy talent but too young to get first team minutes, he sort of hung around Cobham in the latter half of last season, before heading out on loan for this season.

We all hoped that would be his breakout, but his spell at Union Berlin has turned into a disaster. They’re doing terribly, he’s barely scored, and according to SportBild, neither party is very pleased with the arrangement.

Several of our loan players on ill thought out spells elsewhere will return in January. Fofana seems like he will wait until the summer, but his spell there has been no less of a disappointment.

His falling out with the previous manager was obviously a disaster, and he’s no more popular with the new guy, it seems.

The 20 year old is already looking like another mistake from our transfer team.
