Bryan King believes Bryan Gil has no future at the North London club.

After working his way up the ranks at Sevilla and making a name for himself in Spanish football, Bryan Gil made the move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2021. He was expected to have a bright future at the English club but things haven’t worked out as planned.

Gil has failed to break into Spurs’ first team regularly and has already had two loan spells away from the club. While they decided to keep him at the club for the 2023/24 season, Ange Postecoglou has hardly used him throughout the ongoing campaign.

Former Spurs scout Brayn King believes Gil doesn’t have the confidence of the Australian manager and there might not be a future for him at the club beyond the summer.

Bryan King said to Tottenham Hotspur News: “As long as Postecoglou is there, Gil has no future at Tottenham. He clearly doesn’t have the confidence of Postecoglou because he hasn’t been playing regularly. Therefore if he wants first-team football, I think he needs to look elsewhere and move on from Tottenham.

“Sometimes in football, you do need to accept that you’re going to make a loss on a player.”

King feels Gil is not in Postecoglou’s plans moving ahead and if the 23-year-old seeks regular first-team football, he will have to look elsewhere and part ways with the North London club.

The English club signed him back in 2021 for £21.6 million but it seems Daniel Levy would have to accept a £6.6 millon loss on the Spanish international as he is ready to offload him for £15 million.

But, given the fact that he has only had 221 minutes of first-team football this term, they might even struggle to fetch £15 million from his sale.
