Backup Manchester United shot-stopper Dean Henderson will move to Crystal Palace subject to a medical, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Crystal Palace Move Confirmed for Dean Henderson

£20 Million Deal Agreed for Dean Henderson

Dean Henderson has been the subject of speculation surrounding a potential move away from Manchester United this summer and that speculation is reaching its conclusion. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the transfer has now reached its ‘Here We Go’ moment with a deal agreed for £20 million with add-ons to be confirmed.

Once the medical is completed, Henderson described as “exceptional” will bring to an end a frustrating period where he has never really been given the game chances he would have wanted, playing second fiddle to David de Gea.

Loan Moves for Henderson

Much of Henderson’s time at Old Trafford has been elsewhere on loan, with seven spells in total. Of those seven spells away from his parent club, he has played most recently for Nottingham Forest, where he made 20 appearances, while enjoying two spells at Sheffield United, but none of these have led to permanent moves.

Henderson was named as a substitute for the Premier League win over his former loan club, Nottingham Forest, on Saturday, August 26, at Old Trafford, which saw United win 3-2 after Forest had rushed into a shock 2-0 lead.

Time to Move for Henderson

Following the final whistle to that game, Henderson was in no rush to wait around as he was advised of the medical, and it now seems that Crystal Palace have finally got the player they desire. He will leave Old Trafford after making 29 appearances for the Red Devils.
