More details are emerging on the terms and figures as Roma negotiate for Angeliño with RB Leipzig, with Galatasaray signing Zeki Celik instead.

Multiple sources have reported for some days that the Spain international is determined to join Roma, rejecting proposals from Olympique Marseille and more in order to commit to the Stadio Olimpico switch.

According to Pagine Romaniste, this is going to be a loan with option to buy for a further €5m.

There should also be a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with parent club RB Leipzig that the option will be activated if Roma qualify for the Champions League.

This would usually be written into the contract as an obligation.

Meanwhile, Angeliño must first interrupt his current loan spell at Galatasaray.

Roma can ease the issue along by offering to give Galatasaray their right-back Celik, who can replace Sacha Boey, currently on the verge of a €30m transfer to Bayern Munich.

Celik turns 27 next month and has 42 senior caps for Turkey under his belt.

He joined Roma for €7m from Lille in 2022 and is under contract until 2026.
