Atalanta have only just signed Isak Hien from Hellas Verona, but he has already sustained a muscular injury.

The centre-back made the transfer from Verona for €8.5m at the start of January and has already made three appearances for the club in Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

However, Sky Sport Italia report that Hien picked up a muscular injury to the femoral bicep in his left leg during a training session.

It has been diagnosed as a Grade I lesion, which should mean at least a week out of action.

However, there is some good news for Atalanta, as Hans Hateboer returned to training today with the rest of the squad following a month on the treatment table.

Rafael Toloi and Teun Koopmeiners are also not fully fit, while Ademola Lookman is still at the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria.

Atalanta are due to host Udinese at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo on Saturday at 14.00 GMT.
