Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman had to train separately from the rest of the team on Wednesday which has fueled rumours that he may not be fit enough to play against AC Milan on Sunday night.

As has been reported by Milan News, the Nigerian forward has currently got some sort of physical issue that kept him from engaging in group training fully with his teammates.

It remains to be seen what happens during the rest of the week, but he may not be at his best for the trip to San Siro which is undoubtedly a plus for Milan given how good he has been this season.

He has got seven goals and three assists in Serie A this season, and he missed the past month or so as he was playing at the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria, where he scored three goals and got one assist. He was vital in the Nigerians reaching the final, where they eventually lost to the Ivory Coast.

Defender Jose Luis Palomino also failed to complete all of training, so he may be absent from the match as well. Atalanta can cut the gap to Milan down to four points with a win, and they would still have a game in hand.
