Barcelona coach Xavi was delighted with Jules Kounde in victory over Las Palmas.

Kounde was outstanding at the back for the 1-0 win.

Xavi said, "He has been in many games bordering on excellent. He is in a good moment. He is very committed, no matter where he plays. He plays with personality, he doesn't burn the ball.

"He thinks about defending, he enjoys defending and there are not many players who do it.

"All players think about the team and not about individuality."

On president Joan Laporta, he added: "He has gone down like almost always. We have been talking. He sees the team very well. He is proud, to continue with the fight."
