After crashing out of the UEFA Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain fans shifted their focus to Xavi Simons’ return. However, their hopes took a hit with a report from RMC Sport suggesting that the player lacks the motivation to remain in the French capital.

This news is perfect for clubs such as Arsenal and FC Barcelona, both of which have been linked to the promising young talent. A recent report from BILD revealed that Simons could be available on the transfer market this summer for €60 million.

Nonetheless, it seems PSG have no plans to bolster a team that could be a threat to the UEFA Champions League next season, like Arsenal and especially Barcelona, considering the history between the two teams.

Mundo Deportivo reports that PSG would prefer to sell Simons to RB Leipzig rather than Barcelona. Still, Leipzig’s issue is whether the German club can afford to pay a high transfer fee.

The 21-year-old is taking the Bundesliga by storm this season as he’s made 42 appearances across all competitions while scoring nine goals and recording 15 assists.
