Bojan Krkic has spoken of taking the job as Barcelona loan manager.

The former Barca striker has returned to the club this season.

Bojan told Marca: "This happened over time. I decided to return to Barcelona because for the first time or very rarely you make heartfelt decisions. Many times you make decisions with your head thinking about what could be better. I was clear that I wanted to live in Barcelona. After many years abroad alone, the last in the United States or Japan, I decided to return.

"After a few months I decided to stop playing and then I had the opportunity to return to Bara with a liaison role between the reserve team and the first team. Then the shape was given. I am also following the players on loan among other things and what I do is try to be on a daily basis with those kids to try to empathise with them and try to understand them.

"In football or in the elite there is little empathy. That's what I try to do, empathise with that player. Everyone is different and you have those emotions. From being there you can have that link and contribute. If they are open to this, you can contribute and make it something positive."
