The Antonio Rudiger situation at Chelsea has been looking rather bleak in recent months, with most reports fairly adamant he will be leaving in the summer.

Of course, this still has every chance of happening with no conclusion to his contract situation being reached as of yet, but there is some slightly positive news for Chelsea fans wanting their centre back to stay at the club.

It would be amazing if you guys subscribed for my project over at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, where we are putting out so much Chelsea content including DAILY Newsletters, exclusive news, breaking news, Podcasts, interviews, inside information, and bringing in some massive guests!

According to Matt Law of The Telegraph, who has been speaking on the London is Blue Podcast this week, fresh new contracts talks are now planned between Rudiger and Chelsea in an attempt to agree a deal.

Law says he doesn’t know the exact intentions behind the talks, but this is absolutely positive, the fact they are even prepared to talk and hopefully hash something out is a great sign.

January will be key now so let’s hope we will soon be getting the news most of us (all of us?) want!
