Chelsea reportedly hold an edge in the race to sign one of the most sought after strikers in the game this summer, per a report this afternoon.

The Blues will be looking once again to bring in a new number 9 in the coming summer transfer window, but they will be accompanied by many other top clubs who also want to add a new striker to their ranks. With lack of available top quality options, clubs will find themselves battling out for the same players this summer.

Chelsea will be in the mix for Victor Osimhen of Napoli, that seems pretty certain at this point. So it also seems pretty certain that many other top clubs will be in for the world class player too.

TEAMtalk are reporting this afternoon that Chelsea currently lead Arsenal in the race for Osimhen, but Paris Saint-Germain are considering making an offer as well.

Chelsea have the edge because first of all, The Premier League is the desired destination for Osimhen. And the report also claims Osimhen wants to move to Stamford Bridge and has made it clear he is keen to try and sort out a deal that sees him wearing the blue of Chelsea next season, with Mikel and Didier Drogba – Osimhen’s boyhood idol – in constant communication with the prolific front man in an effort to sell Chelsea’s vision to him.
