Samuel Chukwueze’s season for AC Milan may well be over after tests confirmed that he has suffered a muscle injury in his left thigh.

Chukwueze’s withdrawal at half-time during the 5-1 win against Cagliari was the only ‘bad note’ of the night for Milan given the result and the performance. More specifically, the winger felt discomfort in his left thigh and thus was withdrawn.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Chukwueze was present at Milanello today for some checks on the injury and it was confirmed that he has suffered a first degree injury to the biceps femoris muscle of his left thigh.

The evolution of the injury will be monitored with a new MRI which will be carried out next week, but bearing in mind that there are only two games left before the end of the season it means that he has likely kicked his last ball in 2023-24.

Di Marzio reports that the Nigerian will certainly miss the away match against Torino on Saturday. It is difficult at the moment to understand whether he will be able to be available again for the last match at San Siro of the season, the one against Salernitana. All depends on the check early next week.
