A report has come out which suggests the links between Mauricio Pochettino and AC Milan are far from anything concrete at this stage.

La Repubblica were the ones who made the claim yesterday that Milan are keeping an eye on the situation linked to Pochettino, who is currently at Chelsea but continues to be the subject of exit rumours.

However, Calciomercato.it are reporting that has been no contact between Pochettino and Milan so far. It should also be considered that the Argentine coach has another year of contract with Chelsea with a salary of around €15m net per year.

This is a monstrous figure that evidently hinders any type of serious thought towards the former Spurs boss, given that Stefano Pioli at present currently earns less than one-third of that amount.

At present, there is no lead being explored by the Rossoneri with the Argentine’s entourage. It is a seemingly unfeasible path, but if Pochettino were to leave Chelsea and were willing to reduce his demands nothing can be ruled out.

In the meantime, it is Sergio Conceicao of Porto who continues to be the most concrete name at the moment, though he too must leave his current club in order to make the jump to Italy.
