Antonio Cassano has mocked Antonio Conte’s record in European competitions.

The outspoken former attacker was discussing Inter Milan’s European performances and slams Conte for struggling in the competition when he was the manager of the Italian club.

Conte has similarly struggled to win the competition with Chelsea and Juventus.

Tottenham was beaten by lowly NS Mura in their last European game and it seemed the Italian has brought his poor continental record to Spurs.

Cassano argues Conte had a strong team at Inter, yet he couldn’t perform in Europe.

He tells Bobo TV as quoted by Calciomercato: “Am I wrong or on paper Conte had the strongest team than Inzaghi? Conte spent two years taking a bloodbath in the Champions League, playing very badly:

“Inzaghi, on the other hand, is in line with the championship this year and deservedly went ahead in the Champions League with a football beautiful and going to press, which Conte has never done, he only puts himself in front of the goal line.”

The Boy Hotspur Says

Spurs reached the final of the Champions League in 2019 and consistently performed well in the competition under Mauricio Pochettino.

Sadly, we no longer have the squad to compete in that tournament, but regardless, Conte’s first task is to help us qualify for it.

Winning the first-ever European Conference League wouldn’t be a bad thing, but Spurs should be a Champions League team.

If an early elimination from the Conference League will help us return to the top four, most Spurs fans will probably accept that sacrifice.
