Could Girona star Savio make an immediate impact at Manchester City? The world champions are reported to be close to sealing a deal for the young Brazilian winger. Fabrizio Romano has reported via his X account that City will complete a deal for the Troyes winger by the end of the month. With that in mind could the 19-year-old make an immediate impact for Pep Guardiola’s side?

Savio has the tools to make an immediate impact at the world champions

There is no doubt of the talent Girona star Savio possesses. He has shown it in spades during the CFG side’s rise up the La Liga table. So far this campaign he has aided Girona’s cause with 7 assists and 7 goals so far this season.

Savio will bring immense ability to the Etihad. His dribbling and technical ability are well known. He has featured primarily on the left wing for Girona this season. His ability to cut inside and create space for his teammates is an ability that would appear well-suited to Pep Guardiola’s squad. He also has explosive pace and his dribbling ability allows him to beat his man out wide before delivering the ball into the box. He has shown both of these traits this season for Girona.

The ability to play on both wings is also an attribute Savio could bring to the treble winners. With the versatility of Manchester City’s players being an underappreciated asset of Pep Guardiola’s squad the young Brazilian winger also has this attribute in his favour. If he is to make an immediate impact at City this versatility will aid his cause.

As evidenced in the video below Savio has been compared to former City winger Leroy Sane. He would bring a unique skill set to the world champions.

Conclusion

There is no doubt Manchester City are potentially landing a future star in Savio. While he is young and will face competition from Jeremy Doku, Jack Grealish, Oscar Bobb and others for a first-team role he does have the ability to make an immediate impact at Manchester City.

Also given his young age he would also be given the time to develop. Savio could follow a similar path that Oscar Bobb has followed this season when he does eventually arrive at the Etihad.
