Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with a move awy since last summer.

He has fallen down the pecking order under manager Ange Postecoglou, who has preferred to start with Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr as his main midfield duo.

The Danish midfielder has however featured regularly, making 28 appearances in total, 21 of those coming from the bench.

Despite seeking regular playing time ahead of the Euros earlier this year, Hojbjerg opted to remain with Tottenham for the remainder of the season to help them through an injury crisis.

Fabrizio Romano recently reported that the Tottenham are aware of the need to sell Hojbjerg in the summer.

If they don’t, they risk losing him on a free transfer next year when his contract expires in June.

Hojbjerg changes agents to push for Tottenham exit

And as per the latest update from the Italian on his X, he suggested that the player himself is looking to leave in the upcoming window.

He claimed that Hojbjerg has signed with a new agency, USG Italy, in order to access all available options to him going into the transfer window.

He posted:

“Pierre-Emile Højbjerg could leave Spurs in the summer as current deal is due to expire in June 2025.”

” Hojbjerg has recently signed with USG Italy as new agency in order to assess all the options ahead of summer transfer window.”

There was strong interest from Juventus for the midfielder in the January transfer window.

Other European clubs including Lyon and Atletico Madrid have expressed interest in him in the past as well but a could not be materialised.

As the summer transfer window approaches, a summer exit for the Dane looks likely.
