Tottenham expert Alasdair Gold has revealed the details of the injury suffered by Ryan Sessegnon on Saturday.

Injuries have relentlessly afflicted the club throughout this season, persistently troubling the club week in and week out.

The latest casualty is midfielder Ryan Sessegnon, who unfortunately finds himself among the most affected by injuries.

He has been out injured almost the entire season. He recovered from an injury last month but only managed to play 10 minutes against Burnley before picking up a knock again.

He recovered from the knock and was named in the U21 team to play West Ham on Saturday. But it was reported earlier today that the defender picked up yet another injury during the game. He only managed 37 minutes on the pitch before being forced off the pitch.

And Gold has now provided further details regarding the injury, claiming it looked quite serious as Sessegnon was incapable of walking back from the pitch without assistance and had to use crutches to reach the training complex.

He reported (via Football London):

‘It soon became clear that the young full-back could not walk back into the building unaided and crutches emerged for him to get himself inside the training complex as half-time came.’

The injury has been diagnosed as another hamstring issue, this time affecting the opposite side.

Throughout his relatively short career, Sessegnon has encountered numerous injuries, leading to an astonishing total of 708 days spent sidelined—equivalent to approximately two years.

Given the consistent setbacks caused by injuries, it seems improbable that Sessegnon’s time at the club is coming to an end.

It’s very likely that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will offload him in the summer, and look for another left-back to cover for Destiny Udogie.
