Manchester United shot-stopper Andre Onana, who has been criticized all season for his erratic performance, could still win the Golden Glove for the season. Recent statistics indicate that he has prevented an estimated 7.68 goals in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old joined the Red Devils this season, for a massive fee of £43.8 million, replacing veteran keeper David de Gea. Before his arrival, he had an impressive season with Inter, notably aiding them in reaching the UEFA Champions League finals last season. Following his move to the Premier League, he has been criticized for his performances, letting through 33 goals in 24 matches this season. Overall, he has let in a total of 50 goals across all competitions for United.

Despite being ridiculed for his passing and ball-controlling abilities, he might become the league’s best goalkeeper this season. Recent stats reveal that the Cameroonian has saved an expected 7.68 goals, more than any other keeper in the English top flight. Additionally, he ranks third in terms of clean sheets, having recorded seven in 24 matches. With a save percentage of 74.6% and an average of 1.37 goals conceded per match, Onana remains among the top-performing goalkeepers in the EPL.

Numbers speak a lot for themselves, as Andre Onana made some crucial saves for Manchester United. Despite these highs, there have been some lows with the former Ajax star’s errors costing United a place in the knockout stages of the UCL.

Who has been the best goalkeeper in the EPL this season, among Andre Onana, Alisson, Ederson, and David Raya?

The Premier League has been a breeding ground for top goalkeepers, with several contenders vying for the Golden Glove award this season. With Liverpool leading the Premier League standings, competition among both teams and goalkeepers is intense.

Among the top shot-stoppers this season, Liverpool’s Alisson Becker , who was the league’s best goalkeeper last season, has continued his stellar form, conceding only 23 goals. Following closely is Manchester City’s Ederson, who has demonstrated excellence, particularly under pressure.

David Raya of Arsenal has impressed, displacing Aaron Ramsdale as the Gunners’ top goalkeeper. Other notable performers are Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario, Manchester United’s Andre Onana, and Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez.
