Cristiano Ronaldo could make second Manchester United debut against Newcastle

Cristiano Ronaldo could make his second Manchester United debut against Newcastle on Saturday, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said Friday, according to ESPN's Rob Dawson.

"He's been having a good preseason with Juventus, played with the national team, had a good week with us and he'll definitely be on the pitch at some point, that's for sure," Solskjaer said. "We've followed his career from afar since he left here. Everyone is very, very happy to have him back. He seems happy to be back.

"The mood has been very good, working well and we're looking forward to Saturday."

Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United after moving on from Juventus at the end of the transfer window. He has been training with the Red Devils since Tuesday and is fit enough to take the field at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo's first stint with Manchester United came between 2003-09. He won three Premier League titles and a Champions League crown with the club, in addition to receiving his first of five Ballon d'Or Awards as the world's best player.

He scored 118 goals in 292 games during his first go-around with the club.

Manchester United is 2-1-0 on the season, third in the Premier League behind Tottenham and West Ham.
