Charles De Ketelaere admitted that he has had a ‘good season’ on loan at Atalanta but did not give much away regarding a permanent move there.

De Ketelaere is continuing to enjoy a new lease of life under Gian Piero Gasperini following his switch to Atalanta last summer and he scored the opening for them in a 2-1 win over Monza on Sunday evening, a game in which Daniel Maldini also scored.

The Belgian playmaker joined Atalanta from Milan on a €3m loan deal with a circa €22-23m buy option attached, leaving his future a little uncertain ahead of the summer transfer window because keeping him would mean a sizeable investment.

De Ketelaere spoke to DAZN (via TMW) following Atalanta’s win over Monza and he addressed how he is feeling at the moment and what the future holds for him.

“I feel good, but all the forwards make the difference. I’ve been feeling good for a while now, I have to keep playing like this. We’re having a good season, we’ll finish this one and see,” he said.

It must be noted that De Ketelaere has previously admitted that his desire is to join Atalanta on a permanent basis in the summer window, while we exclusively revealed that talks were on over a potential exchange deal involving Giorgio Scalvini.
