England could be about to make a shock move to bring Newcastle midfielder Elliot Anderson into their squad.

Anderson may be set for an international U-turn after he initially chose to play for Scotland.

Per The Telegraph, Anderson would have been a part of the Scotland setup during this international break, but for injury.

The 20-year-old is now attracting the attention of Gareth Southgate and England.

He will, however, have to be very careful about any decision he makes at this stage.

While England may be eyeing Anderson, he would face huge competition to get into the squad regularly.
