Stephan El Shaarawy will start in attack for Roma in tomorrow evening’s Serie A match away to Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who anticipate that the Italian international will partner Romelu Lukaku.

One thing that has long looked certain is that Belgian international striker Lukaku will start tomorrow.

The 30-year-old returns to the San Siro after his acrimonious departure from Inter during the summer transfer window.

And Giallorossi coach Jose Mourinho will certainly rely on Lukaku.

The Belgian is Roma’s top scorer so far this season.

But the question of who will start alongside Lukaku in attack has looked less clear.

Given that Roma play with a 3-5-2 formation, there would be another forward to start alongside the former Nerazzurri, Chelsea, and Manchester United striker.

Stephan El Shaarawy To Start For Roma Vs Inter

The injury to former Juventus and Palermo forward Paulo Dybala restricts Mourinho’s options a bit.

It would seem inevitable that Dybala would start alongside Lukaku were he to be fit.

But the Argentine is still recovering from a knee injury that he picked up earlier this month.

Dybala will be, at most, fit to be on the bench for tomorrow’s match.

Therefore, the Corriere notes, it would likely come down to either El Shaarawy or Andrea Belotti to start alongside Lukaku.

And according to the newspaper, it will be 31-year-old former AC Milan and Monaco winger El Shaarawy who starts in attack.

Meanwhile, in midfield the Corriere reports that Mourinho has one major selection doubt.

That concerns whether to start Edoardo Bove or Houssem Aouar as part of the trio.

Bove has enjoyed a run of starts at the beginning of this season. The 21-year-old is a product of Roma’s youth academy system, and has become a regular in the team under Mourinho.

Meanwhile, Aouar made the switch to Roma on a free transfer when his contract with Lyon expired this summer.
