Paris Saint-Germain will be linked to several players in the coming months leading to the summer transfer window. After the capital club exited the UEFA Champions League in the Round of 16 again, changes appear imminent.

One of the names connected to the French giants is Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Manu Koné. However, in his latest PSG Talk column, CBS Sports’ Jonathan Johnson has difficulty envisioning sporting advisor Luis Campos, or whoever is in charge, landing Koné.

“Manu Koné rumors are exciting, but Borussia Monchengladbach would want the best part of $50 million or so which will be problematic,” Johnson wrote in his column.

In a recent report, French media outlet Téléfoot revealed that it would take a sum of up to €45 million for Mönchengladbach to part with the midfielder. Additionally, PSG isn’t alone in its pursuit to secure the 21-year-old.

Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester United are in the mix to land Koné, who’s under contract with the German club until 2025. As a result, Mönchengladbach will have to decide whether to cash in on the player this summer or begin talks over a new contract.
