Tottenham star Cristian Romero is linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Romero has established himself among the best centre-backs in the league with his consistent performances and has only gone to improve under Ange Postecoglou, who named him his team’s vice-captain.

His stellar season has attracted interest from several top clubs, in particular Real Madrid.

It has been reported that Carlo Ancelotti has identified him as the perfect player to add to his star-studded team and have already enquired about him.

However, Madrid will monitor his performances over the Copa America before deciding whether to make a move for him.

Despite the swirling transfer rumors, Romano claims that Tottenham remain resolute in their stance to retain Romero.

The renowned transfer expert has claimed that Spurs have no intention of letting go of their vice-captain, despite interest from several top clubs including Real Madrid.

Speaking on Playback, Romano clarified Tottenham’s position:

“Cuti Romero to Real Madrid – guys, many clubs appreciate Cuti Romero, but Cuti Romero is Tottenham. Tottenham have no intention at all to let Cuti Romero leave.

“Cuti Romero is a key player for Tottenham. If we want to talk about interest in Cuti Romero, we could spend three days. But I can guarantee to you that Cuti Romero is absolutely a crucial player for Tottenham and Tottenham have no intention to entertain any discussion.”

While Real Madrid’s interest in Romero persists, Tottenham’s firm stance presents a formidable obstacle.

The London club’s commitment to retaining their defensive stalwart underscores their ambition to strengthen under Postecoglou’s leadership and compete at the highest levels of English and European football.
