Xavi Simons, currently on loan from Paris Saint-Germain to RB Leipzig, is making quite an impression in the Bundesliga. As a result, other clubs across European football have him on their radar.

This season, Xavi Simons has been a standout player at RB Leipzig, featuring in 41 matches across all competitions.

His contributions have been significant, with nine goals and 15 assists to his name. Unsurprisingly, his stellar performance has piqued the interest of top clubs like Barcelona and Chelsea, who are closely monitoring his progress.

In his latest column for CaughtOffside, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the 21-year-old’s future.

“Despite links with Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain will decide on Xavi Simons’ future at the end of the season, conversations will take place in the next weeks,” Romano declared.

“Nothing is concrete at this stage, I’m told; Leipzig told PSG that they’d love to keep Xavi on loan for one more year, but it’s up to PSG now and I’m told the player will also be involved in the decision.”

Journalist Ben Jacobs also shared his information on the matter. He notes that PSG are deliberating whether to bring Simons back this summer or extend his loan with Leipzig, with the latter option being highly likely.

Finally, Jacobs states that selling Simons to another club seems less probable at the moment and would require an exceptional offer.
